Since The RUM Project started 24 years ago, we have collected and disposed of over 12 million kgs of unwanted medicine, but there is more out there.
This festive season we’re asking for a gift to the planet. Please help us raise awareness of our free and convenient service, available through local pharmacies across Australia.

The return of unwanted and out-of-date medicines for appropriate disposal supports the quality use of medicines and better environmental outcomes because unwanted medicines aren’t disposed of inappropriately, including down the toilet or thrown out with household garbage, which may end up in waterways or landfill.
70 per cent of Australian’s are still learning how to safely dispose of unwanted medication. As it is the season of giving (and let’s be honest the season of lists, organisation, visitors, cleaning, shopping) please help us, help them.
