Pharmacy Consent
Provide or withdraw your pharmacy’s consent to participate in the online RUM Pharmacy Locator Tool, or update your pharmacy’s details.
A letter has been sent out during June 2025 inviting community pharmacies to participate in the RUM Project’s online Pharmacy Locator Tool.
The purpose of this online RUM Pharmacy Locator Tool is for consumers to be able to locate a community pharmacy that can collect and dispose of unwanted medicines through the RUM Project.
Consent to participate in the RUM Pharmacy Locator Tool can be provided by the pharmacy owner or the pharmacy manager. The pharmacy consent will be considered as enduring unless the RUM Project office is notified otherwise.
The name and address of any community pharmacy will not be included in the RUM Pharmacy Locator Tool unless consent has been provided to the RUM Project.
The RUM Pharmacy Locator Tool will be maintained by the RUM office and will be updated monthly. Community pharmacy names and addresses included in the RUM Pharmacy Locator Tool will not be provided to any third parties and will not be used by the RUM Project for any other purpose other than assisting members of the public to locate pharmacies participating in the RUM Project through the RUM Pharmacy Locator Tool.
Communication & Participation
Community pharmacies may withdraw their consent at any time by providing written notice using the form above, or to pharmacyconsent@returnmed.com.au
Community pharmacies participating in the RUM Pharmacy Locator Tool are requested to keep their details updated. Updated pharmacy details can be provided at any time using the form above, or to pharmacyconsent@returnmed.com.au
Community pharmacies new to the RUM Project will be able to provide their consent by completing the online form found on this page, to be included in the RUM Pharmacy Locator Tool.

Provision of the pharmacy’s consent to be listed in the RUM Pharmacy Locator Tool is not a mandatory requirement for participation in the RUM Project, however will assist consumers wishing to dispose of their medicines through the RUM Project to locate your pharmacy.
